People of the Drabgam village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday held a protest demonstration against the missing gravestone on the grave of militant Sameer Ahmad Bhat, alias Tiger of Drabgam.

Scores of the locals on today morning gathered at main Chowk in Drabgam village protesting against the missing gravestone. Locals allege that the stone has been taken away by the Army during the intervening night.

It is pertinent to mention that grave of Sameer Tiger had become the centre of attraction, and it was decorated with flowers and flags.

Meanwhile, all the shops and business establishments have been closed and around 70/80 people have gathered in the main Chowk to protest against the incident.

The shutdown is also being observed in Rajpora area of Pulwama. The youth of the area while shouting Azadi slogans have assembled and implemented Shut down.

Meanwhile, youth have also started pelting stones upon Army camp in Shadimarg Pulwama. While In Drabgam, people are planning to go to concerned SP to put forth their demand of returning back the gravestone.
