SRINAGAR: Advocate Mir Majid Bashir from Lolab, Kupwara has joined Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) and he was warmly welcomed into the party fold by the party leaders, reports said.
Majid, who is practising at J&K High Court, joined the Congress in presence of JKPCC leader and former MLC G N Monga, senior leader Mohammad Anwar Bhat, Abdul Rashid Dar, Nazir Lone, Bashir Ahmad Sheikh and Mst Raja.
The leaders warmly welcomed him into the party fold and appreciated his joining. On the occasion, Monga said that Advocate Majid belongs to the Congress family and his joining will strengthen the party in Kupwara further.
