Srinagar

Low speed (2G) internet services were restored in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday morning after four days of suspension, local sources said.

Official sources confirming the restoration of low-speed internet told Kashmir Life that the services were barred in Kupwara on October 11 after killing of scholar rebel Manan Wani along with his associate in Shatgund area of Handwara.

Snapping of internet services is a routine in Kashmir valley in particular whenever there is a civilian or militant killing.

However, the high-speed mobile Internet facility continued to remain barred.
