The Kashmir Valley witnessed a complete shutdown amid Lok Sabha elections in state’s Jammu and Baramulla constituencies that recorded 24. 66 per cent votes till 11: 00 am.

All the shops, educational institutes and other business establishments remained closed in the valley and traffic is off the roads. However, a thin movement of traffic is seen on the city roads.

The shutdown was observed in response to the call of Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) to boycott the upcoming elections in the state.

Meanwhile, 24 .66% votes were witnessed in the state’s Jammu and Baramulla constituencies till 11: am.
