On call of the Joint Resistance Leadership, a complete shutdown is being observed in the poll-bound areas of the Kashmir valley. The second phase of the Parliament elections started on Thursday from 7: am.

All shops and other business establishments are closed in poll-bound areas of the Valley while public transport is off the roads.

In the rest of the areas where polling is not being held today, life has remained mostly unaffected.

JRL has called for a shutdown in poll-bound areas in phase-II of Lok Sabha polls.

Meanwhile, authorities have suspended mobile Internet services in the valley as a precautionary measure.
