As the polling for the second phase of Lok Sabha elections is underway in state’s Udhampur and Srinagar parliamentary constituencies on Thursday, the Budgam district of central Kashmir reordered the highest turnout till 5:00 pm and the overall percentage in the state was recorded 43. 3% till 5pm.

In Srinagar constituency, the Budgam district recorded 21. 0%- highest till now, followed by Ganderbal 16.8 % and Srinagar was at 7.0 per cent.

In Udhampur constituency, Reasi recorded 69.8 poll percentage, Kathua was also at 69. 8 per cent, Udhampur recorded 72. 2 %- highest till now, Ramban was at 56. 4%, Doda 60. 5% and Kishtwar recorded 60 % of poll percentage. The overall poll percentage in the state is 43.3 % up to 5.00 PM.

Meanwhile, a complete shutdown is being observed in poll-bound areas of the valley.
