Northern Command Chief, Lt. General. D. S. Hooda, Saturday called on the Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.

During their hour-long meeting, the Lt. General briefed the Chief Minister about the present security situation in all the three regions of the State.

The Chief Minister also discussed with the Northern Command Chief several issues related to Army support to civil administration in a time-bound manner in rebuilding infrastructure damaged due to floods, particularly damaged bridges.

Lt. Gen Hooda also briefed the Chief Minister about the possibility of accessing for improved connectivity Optical Fibre Cable Network laid by them, especially in Ladakh region, He also assured all support for smooth movement of traffic on the National Highway, which has been severely affected due to difficult weather conditions.
