Dhoni, who hails from Jharkhand, will be on army duty within Kashmir valley from July 31- August 15, media reports said.

Dhoni was not included in the squad selected for India’s tour of West Indies after he sought permission to be allowed to join his battalion in Kashmir.

Dhoni last visited Kashmir in November 2017 and interacted with youth at sports field at an army sponsored cricket match in a village in Baramulla. Interestingly during the interaction, the crowd chanted name Shahid Afridi, the former Pakistan cricket star.
