SRINAGAR: The official X (formerly Twitter) account of Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde, was hacked on 21 September, with the attacker replacing the display with the flags of Pakistan and Turkey, reports NDTV.
Officials confirmed that the breach was swiftly addressed and the account has since been secured.
The hacking incident sparked concern among political circles, though no group has yet claimed responsibility. Cyber security experts are expected to investigate the source of the attack.
Shinde’s office assured the public that no sensitive information was compromised.
