National Conference leader and Constituency Incharge Pampore Yawar Masoodi has requested the administration to make all necessary arrangements for smooth conduct of Jawala Chaturthi or Haar Choudah at Jawala Ji Asthapan Khrew, which is thronged by thousands of devotees on the festival on 15 July.

Yawar has asked the Divisional and District Administration to make the arrangements for uninterrupted water and power supply during the festival in the area so that the devotees don’t face any inconvenience during their stay at Khrew.

He has further requested the Civil and Police administration to make the travel of devotees hassle free as the devotees are facing problems during travel from Jammu to Srinagar by road as they are being stopped at various locations due to the restrictions for the Amarnath Yatra. He has called upon the administration to issue necessary passes to the devotees at Jammu so that they don’t face any inconvenience during their travel on National Highway.

It is pertinent to mention that Jawala Ji Mandir at Khrew is the holiest pilgrimage site of the Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir and the annual festival is celebrated as Haar Choudah at Khrew.
