SRINAGAR: Following the suspension of mobile internet services in certain parts of Pulwama district in south Kashmir, Vice President of National Conference (NC) Omar Abdullah emphasized the importance of informing the public about the reasons behind the action.

While addressing a workers’ convention at Bandipora Omar expressed his lack of awareness regarding the motive behind the shutdown of internet services in Pulwama.

“It would be good if people were explained the reasons of suspending internet. People are not going to protest on such a thing, but at least she should know the reasons,” he said.

The mobile internet were stopped in some areas of Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir due to security concerns, officials confirmed on Tuesday.
