Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik was detained by government forces in Srinagar on Monday.

The party spokesperson said a large contingent of Jammu and Kashmir police arrived at Malik’s residence Maisuma early morning and detained him.

He said Malik is currently lodged in Kothibagh police station.

The spokesman said that Malik was detained to prevent him from leading Protest march against the militant and civilian killings in Shopian yesterday.
