Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chief Yasin Malik was Friday arrested from his residence in Maisuma area of Srinagar.
A spokesman of the outfit said that Malik was shifted to Central Jail Srinagar following his arrest.
Before his arrest, JKLF chief while talking to media persons said that the “so-called rulers” who are not tired of propagating their “so-called democratic credentials” have yet again chosen to put him behind bars as they are not able to compete with the resistance camp at political levels.
He said that recently chief minister made much noise about no one being re-arrested after court orders but contrary to her tall claims hundreds of young and old whose PSA has been quashed by court or who have been granted bail are being kept “illegally” in police stations after re-arresting them and their families are also being “terrorised” by police.
