Police detained Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chief Yasin Malik while he was on way to Nagam to attend the funeral of slain Hizb commander Yasin Yatoo alias Mehmood Ghaznavi.
Reports said that he has been lodged him Chadoora police station.
On Sunday, Ghaznavi was killed along with two associates in a gunfight with forces in Awneera village of Shopian.
He was laid to rest amid fro-freedom and pro-Pakistani slogans. Thousands of people attended his funeral.
