Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairperson Muhammad Yasin Malik Friday blasted the chief Minister, Ms Mehbooba Mufti for its “anti-people” policies.

He said that the since inception of Mehbooba led government, J&K has been “tuned into virtual jail”.

“Out of power, Mehbooba acted like a human rights activist and termed Task Force as Gundoon ki Jamaath, what has happened to that activism now?” Malik questioned.

Addressing a presser here, he said, “Mehbooba has banned the political activities of all shades of opinion.”

Taking the PDP-BJP government head on, Malik termed the ban on scheduled seminar of Hurriyat patriarch Syed Ali Geelani as “worst kind of state terrorism”.

The J&K Government on Thursday banned a scheduled seminar of Geelani. He had invited scores of academicians, journalists, intellectuals and scholars to deliberate upon the current Kashmir political situation.

The angry Malik said, “this government even banned a seminar at the residence of the octogenarian leader.” “This is the height of suppression and the occupational tactics of this government.”

Malik lambasted the chief minister for “turning Geelani’s House into a jail”.
