SRINAGAR: A man was arrested for raping a minor in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Friday, police said.
In a tweet Srinagar police said that the accused Aijaz Ahmad Sheikh, son of Ghulam Nabi Sheikh, a resident of Zewan Khunmoh was arrested for raping a minor girl of Maloora (name withheld), four days ago.

“He was absconding after the crime,” police said. A case under FIR No 24/2022 under relevant sections of IPC and POSCO was registered earlier in this regard.
