SRINAGAR: Police in Makkah have arrested an Egyptian resident on charges of fraud for allegedly circulating false and misleading advertisements on social media, offering entry permits for holy sites and Hajj-related services, according to Saudi Gazette.

Authorities confirmed that the accused has been referred to the Public Prosecution after completion of the required legal procedures.
The General Directorate of Public Security has reiterated the importance of adhering to Hajj regulations and guidelines, urging the public to report violations by calling 911 in Makkah, Riyadh, Madinah, and the Eastern Province, and 999 in other regions of the Kingdom.
