SRINAGAR: A 66-year-old man was killed with an axe during a disagreement about taking out stones in the Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir. The police reported this on Saturday.
The suspect, Bharov Singh (31), was captured within four hours of the murder in the wooded Gandoh area, according to a police officer.
On Friday evening in the Gandoh area, Singh attacked Ram Krishan with an axe, causing his immediate death. Anju Devi (42), a woman, was also injured.
During the arrest, the suspect hurt himself with the weapon used in the crime, said the officer.
The officer stated that initially, it appears that the incident occurred due to some old family disputes between two groups.
