SRINAGAR: A man was detained at Srinagar International Airport on Friday after he was found travelling on a fake air ticket, officials said.
An official stated that the incident occurred early in the morning at the airport’s drop gate, where the individual was intercepted while travelling from Srinagar to Delhi. During verification, it was found that the ticket was fake.
On further questioning, the passenger confessed that the ticket was forged. Following this, he was taken into custody along with his mobile phone. A vehicle bearing registration number JK 04A 9887, a Tata Sumo, along with his associates, was also seized.
The detained individual and the seized items were handed over to Police Post Humhama for further investigation. Authorities have initiated legal proceedings to ascertain the source of the fake ticket and the involvement of others in the matter. (KNC)
