SRINAGAR: A man lost his life after being struck by a speeding tipper near the Zaffron Colony area of Pantha Chowk on Thursday, officials said.
“A middle-aged man, riding a scooter with registration number JK05A-9747, was injured after being hit by a speeding tipper vehicle near Khubani Departmental Store in Zaffron Colony, Pantha Chowk. He was taken to SDH Pampore, where he was declared dead on arrival,” they said.
The deceased has been identified as Abdul Rashid Dar, son of Abdul Khaliq Dar, a resident of Achanambal, Zaffron Colony.,
Meanwhile, police have launched an investigation into the incident. (KNO)
