Srinagar: A man died on Wednesday after a Poplar tree fell down on his car at Shadipora area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
The deceased has been identified as Ghulam Mohammad Khan, 60, son of Ghulam Qadir, a resident of Narbal Budgam died after his Maruti car bearing registration number JK01R/3736 came under a popular tree resulting his on spot death and damages to the vehicle at Mohalla Pati Shalabugh, Shadipora in Ganderbal district.
However, Khan was immediately rushed to JVC hospital Srinagar by some locals where doctors declared him as brought dead.
In charge Station House Officer Shadipora ASI Mir Abdul Rashid told Kashmir Life that the incident happened when some persons were felling the trees in the area.
In this regard, Police has registered a case under First Information Report number 68/2018 u/s 304-A, 427 RPC and further investigations have been taken up.
