A man died in a gas cylinder explosion in Qamarwari area here last evening while two persons died in road accidents across valley, police said Wednesday evening.

A gas cylinder exploded during gas refilling at Rampora Qamarwari in which a Nazrul Mulla son of Mansoor Mulla resident of Kanning District Dukhan, 24 Paragon, Kolkatta was critically injured. He was shifted to SMHS hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

Two persons died while five others were injured in different road accidents across the valley.

In Handwara, a Tata Mobile vehicle bearing registration number JK05D-6686 hit and injured a boy Shahid Ahmad Lone son of Mohammad Abdullah resident of Redbugh at Vodhpora. The injured was shifted to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Handwara police has registered a case in this regard.

In Sopore, an EON car collided with Maruti 800 bearing registration number JK05A-7317 at Hathlangoo Crossing, Sopore, resulting in injuries to 02 persons Parvaiz Ahmad Dar resident of Sopore and Mohammad Shafi Dar resident of Tarzoo.

Both the injured were shifted to the hospital for treatment.

In Shopian, a motorcycle bearing registration number JK22-9023 met with an accident near DIET Shopian, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist identified as Mohammad Asif Ganaie resident Bongam Shopian. The injured was shifted to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

In Islamabad, a fruit loaded truck bearing registration number UP15BT-2500 on way from Pahalgam to Bijbehara turned turtle at Sallar, Pahalgam, resulting in injuries to 03 persons including its driver.

All the injured were shifted to the hospital for treatment.
