SRINAGAR: An elderly scooty rider was killed when his scooty was hit by a CRPF vehicle in the Khandiphari Harnag area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, officials said.
An official said that the incident took place near the railway bridge on Monday afternoon.
He said that the man got injured after being hit by the vehicle and was immediately rushed to GMC Anantnag, where he was pronounced dead.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Yousuf Chohan son of Ghulam Mohd Chohan of Shangus.
Police have taken cognizance of the matter. (KNO)
