SRINAGAR: A tragic road accident claimed the life of a man in the Salamabad Bijhama area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday.
According to a police official, the accident occurred when the driver of a Tata Sumo lost control of the vehicle, leading to it skidding off the road.
In the incident, Mehardin Poswal, a resident of Salamabad Bijhama, suffered critical injuries. The police promptly arrived at the scene and rushed him to the nearby PCH Boniyar hospital. Unfortunately, the doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
Authorities have taken cognizance of the incident, and an investigation is likely to follow to determine the exact cause of the accident. (KS)
