Man drowns in Kulgam, boy in Kupwara

Two persons including a minor  drowned at two separate places across the valley. A police statement said on Thursday.

One person identified as 25 years old Shabir Ahmad Chopan son of Ghulam Rasool resident of Panzth, Qazigund, Kulgam drowned in a nearby spring while bathing.

 The body of Shabir was fished out and handed over to his relatives for last rites.

Meanwhile, a boy identified as Ishfiq Ahmad Ganie son of Mohammad Sarwar resident of Dewer Ganie Mohallah, Kupwara got drowned in a water reservoir while bathing.

 The body of a boy was fished out and handed over to his relatives for last rites. Ishfaq was eight years of age.

Meanwhile, police said that body of a non local from river Jehlum was recovered near Malik Yarbal Ghat, Tankipora, Srinagar.

 The deceased is wearing white Check Shirt, Chocklate color pent. The age of deceased is about 40 years.

One identity card was found from his packet with these particulars; Prem Chander Jaysaval son of Alkha Nath resident of 85/55 Chacknan 85-Lakshmi Purwa, Tehsil Kanpur, District Kanpur, pin 208011.
