SRINAGAR: A 26-year-old man was found dead on Jakh Road in the Vijaypur area of Samba district on Friday, officials said.
An official said that the man was spotted by locals, who then informed the police.
He said police soon arrived at the spot, while a Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team also reached the site. The deceased was later identified as Pawan (26), a resident of Dabuj Kaka, Jakh, Samba.
Meanwhile, police have initiated inquest proceedings and the body has been shifted to AIIMS Vijaypur for medico-legal formalities. (KNO)
