Police recovered a body from an orchard in South Kashmir’s Shopian district last evening. Police has started investigation to ascertain the cause of the death.
Shopian police was informed by some locals that a body is lying in trench located within an orchard in village Chilledren, Shopian.
A police party rushed to the spot and recovered a male body in the orchard. The deceased was later identified as 37-year-old Abdul Majeed Wagay son of Abdul Rehim Wagay resident of Rakhi Chilledren.
Shopian police has started investigation under section 174 CrPC to ascertain the cause of his death. The body was shifted to the hospital for medico-legal formalities.
