A man was found dead under mysterious circumstances on Thursday inside a mosque at Maisuma Srinagar city.
An official from police station Maisuma said that the body of a man identified as Abdul Gani Dar, a resident of Beerwah in Budgam district was found inside the Jamiat-e-Ahli Hadith mosque in Maisuma.
He said that there were injury marks on the head of the deceased.
The body has been taken for all necessary formalities including the postmortem, he said.
“Probe has been initiated under relevant sections to ascertain the actual cause of death,” he said.
