Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a drug peddler and recovered 35 bottles of corex at Adipora Sopore in Baramulla district.
Acting on specific information Sopore police during a raid arrested a person along with 35 bottles of corex. The accused has been identified as Murtaza Baba a resident of Magripora, Sopore, Station House Officer (SHO) Vinod told GNS.
He said a vehicle Innova bearing registration number JK05C-3000 has also been seized. A case FIR No 116/2013, under section 49, excise act was registered against the accused.
Pertinently, there has been an increase in the consumption of non-alcoholic addictive substances in the recent past in Sopore.
