SRINAGAR: An auto driver sustained injuries in a road accident near the Hyderpora bypass in the Srinagar district on Thursday afternoon, officials said.
The incident occurred at the Hyderpora bypass, close to Classic Hospital, when a Scorpio with registration number HR26BN-1199 collided with an auto load carrier bearing registration number JK01AB 0562 from behind, resulting in injuries to the auto driver.
The injured auto load carrier driver, identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Tabardar, son of Mohd Ashraf and resident of Parimpora, was soon shifted to SMHS Hospital for medical attention.
Authorities said that the Scorpio driver involved in the accident has been arrested by the police, and a comprehensive investigation into the matter is now underway. (KS)
