A man was injured at a railway station in Islamabad after being hit by train while six other persons were injured in different road mishaps in valley.

A 27 year old man Shabir Ahmad Imah son of Haji Bashir Ahmad Imah resident of Badso Pogal, Banihal was hit by train near Hillar railway station, Dooru, Islamabad resulting in his injuries, a police statement said Wednesday evening.

He was shifted to hospital for treatment.

Six other persons were injured in different road accidents across the valley.

“A BSF vehicle bearing registration number HR55B-4183 hit and injured a pedestrian Mohammad Akbar Mir resident of Kitchama at Kitchama, Sheeri in North Kashmir’s Baramulla. The injured was shifted to District Hospital Baramulla for treatment,” the statement said.

An unknown Tata Sumo hit a Motorcycle bearing registration number JK05D/4912 near DC Office Kupwara resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist Abdul Rashid Mochi son of Mohammad Sultan resident of Nagri Malpora and two pillion Bashir Ahmad Sheikh and Javid Ahmad Mochi residents of Gaziabad, Tangmarg. All the injured were shifted to District Hospital, Kupwara for treatment where from they were shifted to Bone and Joints Hospital, Srinagar for further treatment, the statement added.

A Tipper bearing registration number JK04A/3752 skidded off the road and fell in a Nallah near Iron Bridge Khumriyal, Sogam in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district resulting in injuries to the driver Ghulam Nabi Mir resident of Waweoora and conductor Mohammad Abass Mir resident of Khurham. Both the injured were shifted to District Hospital, Kupwara for treatment.
