Chief Judicial Magistrate Ganderbal has convicted a man accused of committing unnatural sex with a minor in Ganderbal.
On 15 May 2005 a complainant approached police station Ganderbal stating therein that his son (name withheld) was playing outside his house and Showket Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Ahad Bhat resident of Urpash Ganderbal took him away and committed unnatural sex with the minor.
On this report, a case FIR number 37 2005 under section 377 was registered in Police Station Ganderbal and investigation was taken up.
During the course of investigation the accused was found involved in the crime. The investigation was culminated and was produced before the court on 14 October 2005.
After the trail the charges against the accused were proved and court has awarded him the imprisonment of three months and fine of Rs 8000 has also be imposed upon him. The prosecution was conducted by CPO, Sr PO and PO of District Court Ganderbal .
