SRINAGAR: One person lost his life after a vehicle plunged into a deep gorge near the Battery Chashma area of Ramban district on Wednesday.
Officials said that a Swift car lost control near Battery Chashma and fell into the gorge.
A team of police and local residents quickly reached the scene and began a rescue operation, during which one body was recovered.
The deceased has been identified as Amit Koul, a resident of Barhmana, Jammu.
At the time of filing this report, rescue efforts were still ongoing. (GNS)
