SRINAGAR: A man from Banihal lost his life in a road accident in the Nowgam area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Tuesday.
An official said that a Tavera vehicle bearing registration number RJ 36 TA 1594 hit a pedestrian named Mohd Ayoub Nayak, son of Mohd Ibrahim Nayak, a resident of Banihal, near the railway crossing in Nowgam, Srinagar.
In the incident, he sustained critical injuries and was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Meanwhile, the police have taken cognizance of the incident.(KS)
