A scuffle between the two groups of people in south Kashmir’s Shopian district left a man dead over a water dispute in Homhuna village.

Reports said that a deceased man identified as Adfar Ahmad Parra died following a scuffle with some residents of the village over sharing of an irrigation water supply in the fields.

“The clash between two groups of Homhuna village took place over some water issue, which led to the death of one person,” a local resident told Kashmir Life.

Meanwhile, police have taken the cognizance of the incident and further investigations are going on.
