A man was injured after unidentified gunmen opened fire at him in Shalipora village in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday.
Reports said that a man identified as Abdul Majeed was injured after gunmen fired at him at his home in Shalipora village.
They said that Majeed received multiple bullet injuries in his abdomen.
He was shifted to a local hospital where doctors referred him to Srinagar for specialized treatment.
Soon after the incident a joint team of army and SOG launched a cordon-and-search operation in the area to nab the assailants.
