Manasbal gets first of its kind Trout Feed Mill in India

The department of Fisheries has established a state of art Trout Fish Feed Mill at National Fish Seed Farm Manasbal.

According to statement, the Fish Feed Mill has been imported from Holland (Netherland) and is believed to be highly sophisticated, equipped with latest technology for producing extruded pellets of Trout Fish Feed.

“The Feed Mill is first of its kind in this country. The Feed Mill has been established to cope up the increasing demand of Trout Feed for private fish farmers as well as the Government Fish Farms. The commercial production of extruded pelleted (floating type) has started from the said Mill,” it said.

The statement further said, “the department has made a sale of Trout Feed to department of livestock Royal Government of Bhutan.”

The establishment of Trout Feed Milling according to officials besides to meet the demand of Trout feed requirement of the J&K State, can also export it to the other states of India and to the neighboring Asian countries.
