Hailing from Sanyal village, Avinash Sharma tragically succumbed to his injuries on the spot. Following the incident, his body was immediately removed for post-mortem examination, as confirmed by the official.

The motive behind Sharma’s distressing decision remains unclear at this stage, with authorities yet to ascertain the circumstances leading to the unfortunate incident. Investigations are ongoing to determine the factors that may have contributed to the SPO’s extreme step.

A video on social media shows the young SPO dead with his gun lying around. It also shows the melancholic family members of the SPO talking to his colleagues in anger. His family has alleged foul play and demanded a fair probe.

However, Kathua SSP SDS Jamwal has told reporters that he was living in the same village where he was serving. He was serving the Jammu and Kashmir Police for two years.
