It started from the Degree College Shopian where the students boycotted their classes and came out to protest the killings in Gaza.

Chanting slogans “Down with Israel” the college students reached the Gole Chowk and soon the students of local Hr Secondary and all the secondary schools left their classes and joined the seniors.

Officials said that the protesters marched peacefully on the town roads and the situation was quite normal.

Sources said that the protesters not only raised anti-Israel but anti-India slogans as well saying “down with India, the strategic partner of Israel”.

Worth to mention that Israeli bombing on Gaza has resulted in 121 killings in just four days. They include children and women as well.
