Army, SOG and CRPF personnel late Tuesday evening launched a massive Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Sopore area in northern part of Kashmir, reports said.
They said the operation was launched after input about the presence of militants.
Meanwhile, Telecom Companies have been directed to suspend their services in and around Sopore which has added to the tension, local sources said.
