Massive search operation continued in the dense woods near the Line of Control (LoC) in northern part of Kashmir, where Indian army claimed that they foiled three major infiltration bids and killed seven militants during the past three days.
Army resumed search operation in the woods at Naugam and Machil sectors in Kupwara and Uri in Baramulla districts today, reports said.
Four suspected militants were killed in Machil sector in the encounter, which ensued on June 6, while three others were gunned down in Naugam sector, where one soldier was killed yesterday.
In Uri sector, troops two soldiers were injured in the exchange of fire before the militants fled from the area.
