SRINAGAR

The People’s Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti is on her visit to Badarwah. Earthquake had hit the area, Chenab Valley, on May 1, 2013.

Ghulam Nabi Azad, Union Health Minister, was first to visit the victims and now Mehbooba followed. But the chief minister Omar Abdullah even if he has asked for free ration for the earthquake hit victims is yet to visit the place.

The Congressman said the Vice Chairman, NDMA who accompanied him today to review the situation in Doda and Bhaderwah and  Bhalesa shall constitute a technical team to formulate a comprehensive project for assessment as well as to conduct rescue operation for avoiding any damage in future.

Pertinently, the BJP had also attacked the Jammu and Kashmir government for its “callous” approach towards relief work in quake-hit Doda belt, alleging that instead of visiting affected areas, CM Omar Abdullah was busy holidaying outside.
