SRINAGAR: Soon after addressing media persons at her Gupkar residence, PDP president Mehbooba Mufti walked to the residence of Dr Farooq Abdullah met the leader. The former chief minister of J&K later left to see Sajjad Lone-Peoples conference chairman, who lives in the Church Lane.
Her meetings with the two leaders are part of her initiative to a joint meeting with all the leaders and devise a joint strategy.
As soon as Mehbooba ‘s press conference was over, she said she is leaving to see Dr Abdullah. However, the police blocked the exit from her own house. It was a high drama as her lawmakers were shouting slogans and pushing the door that police did not open. It continued for more than 10 minutes. Later, she was permitted.
Mehbooba was permitted into Dr Farooq’s residence but no media person was permitted by his security. She was accompanied by some of her lawmakers. She spent almost 15 minutes at Dr Abdullah’s residence.
Later she left to see Sajjad Lone, who was a cabinet minister in her cabinet. An erstwhile BJP ally, Lone is also angry over what is happening to Kashmir’s special status. By the time, this report was filed she was on way to Lone’s residence.
