Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chairperson and senior Hurriyat (g) leader, Syedah Asiya Andrabi Tuesday condemned use of force against the students of SSM college who were protesting against the killing of their fellow student.

In a statement to KNS, she said, “such use of force won’t suppress our longing for freedom from India.”

She alleged, “the forces and the local police are being controlled from Nagpur.”

“The release of 21 activists of DeM was not possible on Tuesday as well because Nowhatta police station did not give the requisite report to be presented before the court for their bail,” she said. “Little babies have been held captive along with their mothers among these 21 activists.”

She also lashed out MP Mehbooba Mufti “who has been intoxicated by power and is talking in a manner not befitting a sensible person”.

“We want to ask her did she expect people to shower flowers on them. A day will come when PDP, NC, Congress, Peoples Conference and other pro-India parties will escape from Kashmir during darkness of night,” she said.
