Handwara: Firebrand Langate lawmaker, Er Rasheed on Friday accused CM Mehbooba Mufti of reducing the Muslims in Jammu province to “second-class citizens” and warned PDP-BJP collation of dire consequences if it doesn’t mend its behaviour.
Reacting to the hooliganism in MAM College in Jammu, the langate lawmaker said that time and again it has been proved that the state machinery is being controlled by “Right Wing Hindu Forces” and these “fanatic” elements are trying everything to disturb the communal harmony in Jammu province at the behest of BJP and Sang Parivar.
Rasheed said, “It is shameful that the members of ABVP objected to a song in a bus and after the issue was sought out by the college management, the goons went to the hostels and attacked the Muslim students late in the night and as if it was not enough police at the direction of BJP and RSS leaders raided the hostel and arrested seven Muslim students.”
The firebrand lawmaker said that muslims seem to be unsafe everywhere in India and the way three Sopore youth were arrested by Delhi Police is condemnable”.
