MeT Director Mukhtar Ahmad said that most of the weather activity is expected over the Jammu region, Pir Panjal, and the Chenab Valley, in addition to parts of south Kashmir. He added that central and south Kashmir are also likely to receive light to moderate rainfall during this period.

He further stated that temperatures are expected to decline over the next two days due to the prevailing weather conditions.

The MeT has advised travellers to check road and weather conditions before undertaking journeys. Farmers have been urged to resume agricultural activities only after April 10, when the weather is expected to improve and remain largely dry.

Meanwhile, vehicular movement on the 270-kilometre strategic Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) was completely suspended last night after continuous landslides blocked both carriageways between Karool Bridge and Chanderkote, disrupting traffic along the key route.
