SRINAGAR: The Union Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday confirmed the appointment of RR Swain as Director General of Police (DGP) Jammu and Kashmir.
Swain, an IPS officer of 1991 batch was holding additional charge of the post of DGP JK.
An order issued by MHA reads, “Swain has been appointed to the post of DGP J&K with effect from the date of assumption of charge and till September 9, 2024 or until further orders whichever is earlier,’’
