MHA Orders Immediate Transfer of IPS Officer From Jammu Kashmir to Goa

   

SRINAGAR: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has transferred 2010-batch IPS officer Vikas Gupta from Jammu and Kashmir to Goa with immediate effect, according to an order issued by the Union Government.

The order, issued by the MHA from Kartavya Bhavan, New Delhi, said Gupta, an AGMUT-cadre officer, has been transferred to Goa until further orders with the approval of the competent authority.

The order was issued by Rakesh Kumar Singh, Under Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs.

Gupta, who belongs to the 2010 batch of the AGMUT cadre, has served in Jammu and Kashmir in senior police and administrative assignments.

The transfer forms part of the Centre’s deployment of AGMUT-cadre officers across Jammu and Kashmir, Goa, Delhi and other Union Territories.

The MHA order specifies that Gupta’s transfer takes effect immediately and will remain in force until further orders.
