SRINAGAR: The National Conference announced on Monday that former minister and legislator from Kangan, Mian Altaf, will be its Lok Sabha candidate for the Anantnag-Rajouri constituency.
NC vice president Omar Abdullah, said that the party’s high command believes that there is no better candidate than Mian Altaf for the Anantnag-Rajouri seat.
He added that the party has decided to field Mian Altaf as its candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls in the Anantnag-Rajouri constituency.
This marks the party’s first announcement of a candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, scheduled to commence from April 19 in seven phases across the country.
