Midnight blaze consumes properties worth Crores in southern Kashmir’s Islamabad

Property worth crores of rupees has been damaged in a devastating fire in the commercial hub in southern part of Kashmir’s Islamabad district early Monday morning, official sources said.

They said that the fire broke out in major commercial hub Cheni Chowk and Reshi Bazar in Islamabad, at about 2 am. About a dozen fire tenders were rushed from different parts of the district to control the leaping flames, clearly visible from a distance.

Sources said that more than a dozen buildings and shops were damaged in the fire which was brought under control after about four hours.
